I began writing about the influence of the Moon on our lives years ago with The Healers Almanac, Wisdom from the 21st Century 
Goddess. In this refreshed Moon Magic series, I explore the New and Full Moons as collective energy or cosmic weather that helps us understand timing, cycles, and conscious choice. Each month, I also include the Goddess of the month and a ritual or practice to help you connect with the symbolism of the Moon in a grounded, practical way.
The March New Moon arrives in the sign of Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac. This makes it a powerful closing Moon, not just for the month, but for the entire astrological year.
Pisces teaches us that not all beginnings start with action. Some begin with rest, release, forgiveness, and surrender. Before we rush into Aries season and the energy of fresh starts, this New Moon invites us to pause and gently clear the emotional and energetic clutter we’ve been carrying. This is a Moon about soft endings, the kind that create space for healthier beginnings.

This Full Moon on March 3, 2026 is no ordinary lunation. It is also a lunar eclipse, which makes it a powerful time for revelation and hopefully feeling the release that embracing emotional truth brings.
Illumination because a full moon brings things to light. Revelation because a lunar eclipse turns up the volume. This one acts like a cosmic flashlight, showing us where something has run its course and gentle but honest change is needed. This is not about chaos or drama. It’s about clarity.
We also have a Virgo - Pisces balancing act. The Virgo moon and the Pisces Sun is where practical magic meets sacred surrender.

A Full Moon is always about culmination, release, and illumination. The Full Moon in Leo opposes the Sun in Aquarius and this creates a dynamic polarity between your own expression and your community. But Leo is no stranger to being the eccentric one. This Full Moon wants you to express yourself and be seen! Go ahead and celebrate what you've accomplished over the last few weeks. While you’re at it, let go of all that negative self talk.
